Eph's contribution to the fabric of Canada has been recognized by his 1994 appointment as an Officer of the Order of Canada and his 1988 induction into the Canadian Business Hall of Fame. For his life-long humanitarian work he has received the 1980 Human Relations Award from the Canadian Council of Christians and Jews and the 1979 State of Israel Prime Minister's Medal for Humanitarian Services. His activities today include membership on the Advisory Board of the University of Toronto Centre for Research in Neurodegenerative Diseases, the Board of Governors of Mount Sinai Hospital, Member and Honorary Director of Baycrest Centre for Geriatric Care, and the Board of Directors of the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts. Eph Diamond is an engineering graduate from Queens University and served as an Officer in the Royal Canadian Navy. |
